Re: Executive Term Length
I like the idea of a fiscal year, that's all.

Re: Executive Term Length
I am not familiar with the fiscal year other than it is broken up into quarters. Is that what you were describing in your previous post, River?

Re: Executive Term Length
Is that really such a big deal?
i mean i understand that it might be satisfying to your eye, that we have it so.
but i think i have already shown a willingness to work together in the spirit of compromise, and i would hope you would recgonize that, and not try to stand firm at 13 weeks, seeking no compromise at all.

Re: Executive Term Length
I did not post a demand that the term lengths be 13 weeks. I said that I preferred them. Stating one's preferences does not necessarily indicate a lack of willingness to compromise.River wrote:That would give us 5 - 10 week terms per year and a partial carryover to the following year. I would prefer 4 - 13 week terms per year and no carryovers.
This is the second time that you've attacked me in this venue. Is that how you govern and conduct business as a chief executive in other regions, through attacks and derision?

Re: Executive Term Length
Please direct me to the post to where you feel i attacked you, because i assure i did not.
i think i already made that clear in another post somewhere else on this forum.
i was merely stating that fact that i proposed a compromise, and while no, you did not demand a 13 week term, you did not specify you would be okay with a 10 week term, nor did you propose any other sort of compromise, all you stated was 13 week terms were what you wanted and nothing else.

No.
i want to know where i attacked her.
because i try to do nothing but be kind and curtious to others, and explain my view in a non-confrontational mannor.
so when someone says i attacked them, i am very concerned, because i always try never to do such things.
so i would like to know.

Re: Executive Term Length
13 weeks gives us 4 presidents/leaders a year
I think the 13th week of the term (or last week if we don't side with 13) should be advertised to voting (however you do that) OR just notifying everyone that the newelections are coming up

Illatia, you should most likely direct your attention to the "Stickies" at the top of each section [Exec, Jud, Leg] as they have the compilations of all the information we have more or less decided on.
Feel free to comment here, but it would be better served to comment in the Stickies...

Re: Executive Term Length
i believe we have decided upon a 10 week term for the Premier .
i invite you to comment on the section in the sticky though, the more eyes that look at it the better, we almost are done with the drafting of the constitution
