Regional Flag (Possible Vote?)

I think that once we ratify the Constitution, we should hold a conference to decide on a 'regional flag' that will serve as our symbol to the NationStates world.

Thoughts?

I'm not the greatest flag person, but have been known to make a few. I do better with crests and coats of arms.

Well, I was thinking something more along the lines of proposing a few pictures / flags / MSpaints / etc. and we can hold a series of "voting rounds" where particular pictures will advance until we narrow the choices down to a few, and then we hold a regional poll to decide the winner.

We could always just seek an aspiring MSPaint artist within TDS, and enlist them with the creation of a national crest. We could include various symbols and colors which we deem hold significance for our region, and go from there.

it could be one of the first priorities of our Internal Affairs/Culture Ministry/Minister to set up and create a committee to design a few options, and then hold a vote in the Assembly on which one the body as a whole likes the most.

Well, go purloin one of the flag threads on NSG for examples.

I was thinking the exact same thing. That could be the first action of the IA /Culture Minister and committee. I'm glad we're on the same page with this.

I was totally thinking this same thing b/c well the zombie thing? really? lol

Oh to be honest, I change the flag like three times a week usually. I wouldn't count on seeing that flag for very long...

personally, i think it has merit.

but i would like to see something more original, just my opinion though.

IDK I feel that it's a bit avant garde and doesn't convey the true identity of the region. Maybe it's just me.

hahah but in seriousness. I think it should be funny or intriguing so that it captures the attention of browsers. If they have no better reason to join one region over an other, a funny flag might do it.
