Regional Motto

Adopting a regional motto would also aid this region in expressing itself to visitors. Any ideas?

Liberté, égalité, fraternité

well personally i would want something a original for the Dirty South.

our motto is suppose to represent us, and our ideals, in a short concise manner.

how about something a kin to:

The Dirty South: Protecting Liberty, Fostering Prosperity, and Ensuring Progress.

iunno, just kind of off the top of my head.

I like where you are going, with something original for The Dirty South, but it seems like there is too much 'P' in that motto [the letter P].

Perhaps we could just shorten your proposed motto to read,

Liberty, Prosperity, [and] Progress.

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. Short, simple, and to the point.

I feel like we're more about Liberty than we are about Protection.

Yeah seeing how we are more for a neutral-defender stance than an aggressive-defender stance lol

In all seriousness, I like "Liberty, Prosperity, Progress" and I wouldn't mind seeing it put to a Vote.

just so people know what we are talking about....but thats just a suggestion.

i agree this should be brought to the floor of the GA, and then called for a vote.

Well, there would be no need to add "The Dirty South" precursor. Since it would be the header of the Forums, or whatever, then it would already read:

The Dirty South
"Liberty, Prosperity, Progress"

I don't think we should include the word "and" in the motto/slogan either. There's really no need, and it sounds classier without it. Just my opinion, though.

...i dont know how to do that...lol, i guess i will have to try and figure it out.

also it should be put in our WFE as well...

and i am not married to the 'and', but i just feel it flows better, with our name first, more so people know what we are talking about...but that could just be my personal pet peeve.
